REAL VOICES FROM OUR COMMUNITY

Before TMHS, I didn’t think therapy was even an option for me. I was falling behind in school and couldn’t get out of my own head. Now I have a therapist who gets me — and I finally feel like myself again.

SPRING BRANCH ISD JUNIOR

When my daughter started therapy through TMHS, I could see the weight lifting off her shoulders. As a parent, knowing she’s supported and healing is the best gift imaginable.

When I started therapy through TMHS in high school, I was struggling to keep up — emotionally and academically. Having someone to talk to changed everything. I learned how to manage my anxiety, set boundaries, and take care of myself. Now, as a college sophomore, I still use what I learned in therapy every single day.

OUR PROCESS

REACH OUT

Students can begin by speaking with their campus counselor or contacting TMHS directly at info@thementalhealthsociety.org

APPLY

Counselors guide students through our short TMHS application, available on our website. This form helps us understand each student’s needs and circumstances. Once submitted, a licensed TMHS counselor reviews it to ensure a thoughtful and personalized response.

REFERRAL & SCHEDULING

TMHS partners with trusted local practices to connect students with the right licensed mental health professional. Once approved, the student is contacted within 48 hours to schedule their first session.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Every application and session is completely confidential. TMHS follows all legal and ethical standards to protect student privacy.

PAYMENT

All therapy fees are paid directly by TMHS, so students never receive a bill and can focus entirely on their care.

SIX MONTHS OF SUPPORT

Each student receives a minimum of six months of fully funded therapy, covering up to 12 sessions at their own pace. This model ensures consistent, accessible, and high-quality care that meets students where they are.
